8.2.14 Forget for Freedom

Maybe if you forget about it
You can do all the catching up
Right at the finale
When you forget you won’t feel guilty
Memories can’t flood and drown anymore
You can feign amnesia
Forget the names that match the faces that
Scream at your conscious
and consciousness
You’ll stretch those memories thin
So you can focus on the solid that is left
The rest of your life
Alone in a field
Finally free
