14/11/13 Cold Brothers

If there’s one thing I learned from my brothers
It’s that if you’re cold
Whether in you body or your heart
No one can know
The disguise you wear must be perfect
Seamless to the point
Where people don’t even know who you are

Your mask must be stronger than theirs
Hard as the metal of a robot
The shell of a giant calm
Holding your thoughts like it’s pearl
If you bump someone’s mask
and your’s is the one that cracks
You’ve lost yourself
and lost the group

As brothers we must stand strong together
Amongst the group we don’t know
Which is what holds us together
