14/9/13 The Golden Age of ‘Social Interaction’

Television told me of a day and age
when people stopped to check on the animal they ran over
now it tells me of children run over
in the streets alone and helpless
With guns killing the innocent and each other

There were days when people talked on the bus
Communicated through faces and touch
Now with touch screens and tablets
You only see faces with times and books

Media has desensitized us
Before Ear phones and telecommunication
Before the death of social interaction
and the birth of ‘social media’
People relied on people
Instead of screens
